PATIENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Health services, because of their vital importance, cannot be compromised by the rights and responsibilities of people. We respect the rights of all patients and their relatives who apply to our hospitals during the time they receive services from our hospitals. T.C. This resource, which we have prepared by taking advantage of the Patient Rights regulation of the Ministry of Health, is for the purpose of informing our patients about their rights and responsibilities they have to perform during service procurement.

Patient Rights

The patient's rights are guaranteed by international and national legislation, the person who requests medical assistance and applies to a health care facility for this purpose, and all the practices performed in the name of the protection of his rights within the entire service process given to him in that health care facility.

Patient rights aim to protect human health at a high level and to provide health services at a high quality.

1st. Right To Use Services

Every individual admitted to our hospital has the right to use all services without distinction of language, religion, race or denomination. He has the right to enjoy the preventive and therapeutic health services that are necessary for his health.

2nd ed. Right to information and request information

Our patients have the right to receive information about their health status and the available health services and how they can benefit from them, to see and obtain documents about themselves and their illnesses.

3. Right of consent and consent

Our patients have the right to accept, refuse or ask to be stopped the recommended treatment after they have been adequately informed.

4. The right to choose and change the Health Organization and its personnel

Our patients have the right to choose and change which method of diagnosis and treatment will be used and the doctors, nurses and other health personnel responsible for their treatment.

5. Privacy and right to privacy

Our patients have the right to request that their personal information, health status, diagnosis and treatment processes or the content of their private visits be kept confidential.

6. Right To Respectability

Our patients have the right to receive health care with a friendly, kind, compassionate approach and in a clean contemporary environment.

7th ed. Right To Perform Religious Duties

Our patients have the right to fulfill their religious obligations as long as the facilities of the health care facility do not interfere with treatment.

8. Right to visit and escort

Our patients have the right to receive visitors and to have chaperones in accordance with the procedures and principles set out by our hospital.

Ninth Right To Security

Our patients have the right to the protection of their life and property safety and to the protection of health services from risks and medical errors.*
ten. Right to consult and second opinion

Our patients have the right to receive information about their health status from another doctor who works in the same branch other than the physician who is interested in their treatment or to ask for a consultation with a specialist from a different branch.

11. Right to report complaints /opinions and suggestions

In case of negligence, our patients have the right to initiate, review, finalize and be informed of the complaints mechanism in our hospital.

* For security reasons, camera shots are carried out in public and public areas of our hospitals. However, in areas that require privacy, such as the patient's room and the physician's room, this measure is not applied.

Patient Responsibilities

Patient responsibilities are the duties and obligations that the patient must fulfill before and after applying to a health care facility.

1st. General Responsibilities

Our patients are responsible for doing everything they can to take care of their own health and to follow the advice given for a healthy life.
The person may give blood or donate organs if appropriate.
In simple cases individuals are responsible for performing their own care.

2nd ed. Social Security Status

Our patients are responsible for timely notification of changes in their health, social security and personal information.

3. Informing Health Workers

Our patients are responsible for reporting their complaints, previous illnesses, inpatient treatment, medications, if any, and all health-related information.

4. Compliance With Hospital Rules

Our patients are responsible for complying with the rules and practices of the healthcare provider they refer to.
Our patients are responsible for complying with the referral chain determined by the Ministry of Health and related social security institutions.
Our patients are responsible for collaborating with health workers during the treatment, care and rehabilitation process.
Our patients are responsible for paying the costs of examination and treatment.
If our patients benefit from a health facility with an appointment, they are responsible for complying with the date and time of the appointment and reporting the changes to the relevant location.
Our patients are responsible for respecting the rights of hospital staff, other patients and visitors.
Our patients are responsible for covering the damage to hospital supplies.

5. Follow-Up Advice On Treatment

Our patients are responsible for listening carefully to advice on their treatment and medications and asking where they can't understand.
If there is an inability to comply with the recommendations regarding the treatment of our patients, the health care worker is responsible for reporting this.
Our patients are responsible for stating whether they understand the health care and post-discharge care plan correctly as expected.

Our patients are responsible for the consequences due to their refusal of treatment or failure to comply with the recommendations.

The health and safety of our patients and visitors is the basis of our Visitor policy. 

In cases that may be inconvenient for the patient, the visit depends on the permission of the physician.
Children under the age of 12 should not be brought as visitors in order to protect the health of children.
Since the patient's specific diet will be planned, food and drink should not be brought from outside.
The patient can have 2 visitors at the same time. The presence of crowded visitors is inconvenient for the health of the patient and visitors.
Flowers are not accepted in the patient rooms, the flowers you send to our patients are accepted by The Counseling Unit in the lobby and the ‘flower card’ is arranged. . The flower cards with the name and surname of the sender are sent to the patient's rooms to ensure that the patient has information. The patient and his / her relatives can receive flowers from The Information Unit with a flower card.
Smoking is not permitted in the entire hospital building.

* The relevant units, clinics, departments and departments may have their own visit rules; it should be noted that these rules, which may differ within our general visitor policy, should be followed.

  • The patient's physician determines whether the patient needs a companion.
    The number of Escorts is limited to one person.
    The chaperone is given a chaperone card by the nurse in charge of the related service.
    The chaperone helps the patient's care to the extent permitted.
    The chaperone has a responsibility to follow all the rules set by the hospital.

    Chaperones are allowed in some units, clinics, departments and departments. In addition, some units, clinics, departments and departments may have their own specific escort rules; it should be noted that these rules, which may differ within our general escort policy, must be followed.
